F. Dawn Powell-Londoño is a licensed acupuncturist in Colorado and massage therapist in Denver. Dawn focuses her practice on dealing with chronic pain, sports injuries, women's issues, cancer and stress reduction. Acupuncture is beneficial for almost any condition. Dawn’s massages are primarily deep and therapeutic but can be geared toward your needs. Dawn graduated from the Atlantic University of Chinese Medicine in North Carolina and is nationally certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Dawn is certified in Clean Needle Technique by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She also worked for an herbal and needle wholesale supply company, Golden Needle, learning about herbs and different companies that supply her products. Dawn graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations. Dawn is also a licensed massage therapist in Denver and is a nationally certified massage therapist by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork with concentrations in Neuromuscular Therapy, Sports and Deep Tissue Massage. Oncology Acupuncture training with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York has helped Dawn work with cancer patients in their journey through the oncology process as easily as possible.
Dawn is certified in Facial and Cosmetic Acupuncture by Jean Hardesty. Facial Acupuncture works with the collagen level of the skin to help the collagen lay down in a proper manner to rebuild skin in wrinkles. This technique is very beneficial for scars or age spots as well as helping with wrinkles.
Before starting massage and acupuncture, Dawn took advantage of the many sports Colorado has to offer: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing and running. Chronic overuse affected Dawn's elbows and that is when she found the need for acupuncture. It worked so well that she geared whole life toward being able to help others in pain as well.
Dawn relocated her massage and acupuncture practice to Colorado from Asheville, NC with her husband and dog to ski, rock climb, kayak and hike.
